Job summary

Firmus Technologies Pty Ltd. is seeking a Platform Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a global reliability team responsible for 24/7 incident management, runbooks, and automation across AI Cloud platforms.

You will guide complex fault diagnosis, ensure production readiness, and partner with engineering to improve service reliability, SLAs, and operational tooling across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a 24/7 platform reliability or SRE team.
• Experience in large-scale hosting, HPC, data centre or service provider environments.
• Ability to perform complex fault diagnosis, guide recovery and assess escalation quality.
• Experience with ITSM tooling and incident, change, and problem management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the platform reliability team across regions, including hiring and development.
• Oversee 24/7 on-call and incident command rosters; act as incident commander for major incidents.
• Escalation point for complex faults; guide diagnosis, recovery and root cause reviews.
• Manage service level objectives and report performance to leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering to define clear escalation paths and commitments.
• Drive runbook and automation work to fix faults and reduce toil.
• Develop engineers into senior roles with mentoring and rotations.
• Align new/changed services for production readiness with Service Delivery Managers.
• Convert incident trends into improvement requirements and track closure.
• Provide customer and leadership reporting on service health.
