Job summary

Firmus Technologies runs large-scale, state-of-the-art AI infrastructure and operates the AI FactoryOS and Firmus AI Cloud platforms.

The Platform Reliability Engineering Manager leads the platform reliability team: the engineers who take on incidents escalated from the Global and Site Operation Centres and manage them through to resolution, and the Service Delivery Managers who handle incident, change and problem management.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on engineering in infrastructure operations or site reliability.
• Experience leading 24/7 operations or production engineering teams.
• Ability to script and review automation and runbooks.
• Familiar with ITSM practices and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform reliability team across regions, focusing on hiring, onboarding and performance.
• Manage 24/7 on-call and incident command rosters, across regions.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex faults and RCA reviews.
• Define and monitor service level objectives and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to map escalation paths and commitments.
• Drive runbook and automation work to fix faults through automation.
• Develop engineers into senior specialist roles with mentoring.
