Job summary

Palm Lake Care Mt Warren Park is seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join our hospitality team on a part-time/casual basis. You will deliver nutritious, high-quality meals and an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests while enabling a supportive kitchen environment.

Join a values-driven team with flexible shifts (06:00-14:00 and 09:30-17:30) and weekend/holiday penalties. You will ensure food safety, assist with menus, and mentor kitchen staff in a vibrant aged care

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards and IDDSI texture guidelines.
• National Police Check.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Supervise kitchen staff and liaise with Chef Manager on menus and events.
• Assist with ordering, stock rotation and waste minimisation.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in all kitchen duties.
