Job summary

Palm Lake Care Beachmere is seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our team on a Part Time permanent basis. You will report to the Chef Manager and be integral in preparing nutritious meals and presenting dishes attractively.

Maintain high hygiene standards, assist with stock and ordering, and deliver friendly resident service. A current National Police Check and prior aged care experience are essential.

Qualifications

• A current National Police Check is required.
• Prior experience in a similar role within aged care is essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a proactive support role to the cook.
• Excellent personal hygiene and knowledge of food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents.
• Collaborate with the Cook to ensure meals are well presented.
• Respect resident preferences and serve accordingly.
• Serve and distribute morning and afternoon teas.
• Assist with stock ordering and rotation.
• Ensure dishes are cleaned to a high standard after meals.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and families.
