Palm Lake Care Mt Warren Park is seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join our hospitality team on a Part Time/Casual basis. You’ll deliver nutritious, high‑quality meals and an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests.

Qualifications include 3+ years as a Chef, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, and a Current Food Safety Certificate. You’ll oversee kitchen operations, ensure food safety, and support dietary and cultural needs with strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Current Food Safety Certificate.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards and IDDSI texture guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage kitchen staff.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• National Police Check.

Responsabilités

• Preparing and presenting high-quality, nutritious meals aligned with approved menus.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and accreditation standards.
• Catering for special diets and cultural requirements following guidelines.
• Monitoring food wastage, portion control and stock rotation.
• Supervising kitchen staff and promoting teamwork.
• Liaising with the Chef Manager on feedback, menus and events.
• Deputising for the Chef Manager in their absence.
• Maintaining high hygiene standards in all duties.
