Location: Sydney, NSW (hybrid role)

Type: Contract

Application Email: secretary@isaca.org.au

ISACA Sydney Chapter is seeking a proactive, organised, and committed Administrative Assistant to support the operation of one of the region’s most active professional associations in cybersecurity, audit, privacy, IT governance, and risk.

This is a rare opportunity to work closely with a high-performing board of volunteers, contribute meaningfully to our professional community, and support a growing member base.

About the Role

This contract role requires approximately 40-60 hours per month, with flexibility in how hours are worked across the week. Most responsibilities can be performed remotely; however, periodic in-person attendance (at least once per month) will be required to support events and meetings in the Sydney CBD.

The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in coordinating communications, supporting the President and Board, and delivering exceptional service to members. The role is ideally suited to someone with strong attention to detail, professional maturity, and the ability to operate independently.

Key Responsibilities

Weekly and monthly activities include (but are not limited to):

·Supporting the President and Executive Team with communications, scheduling, and project coordination.

·Managing email campaigns and newsletters.

·Responding to member queries and providing professional, timely assistance.

·Assisting with planning and execution of chapter events – including webinars, professional development sessions, conferences, and networking events.

·Supporting event logistics such as venue liaison, attendee tracking, reminders, and follow-ups.

·Maintaining records including Board minutes, action items, and chapter documentation.

·Coordinating scheduling and logistics for monthly Board meetings.

·Maintaining accurate databases of members, contacts, volunteers, and partners.

·Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative experience in a professional or member-facing organisation.

·Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

·Demonstrated professionalism and discretion, especially when dealing with senior stakeholders.

·High level of written and verbal communication skills.

·Strong attention to detail and ability to self-manage tasks with minimal supervision.

·Familiarity with Google Workspace.

·Applicants must have full working rights in Australia. ISACA Sydney is unable to offer sponsorship.

·Familiarity with professional associations or not-for-profit volunteer-led organisations.

·Experience supporting events, workshops, or professional development sessions.

·Experience working with boards, committees, or member-based organisations.

·A proactive mindset, flexibility, and an appreciation for working with high-performing volunteers.

Location and Availability

·Applicants must be based in Sydney or within reasonable proximity to the Sydney CBD.

·Availability to attend monthly in-person events or meetings (typically evening or lunch sessions).

·Flexibility to respond to time-sensitive matters across the working week is required.

To Apply

Please email your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the role to secretary@isaca.org.au by 12pm on July 21, 2025.
