The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable professional for a permanent full-time role with our Housing - Finance team in Blackburn, part of the Melbourne area. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will process supplier invoices and support high-volume AP workflows with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable processing, preferably in an NGO/Not-for-Profit environment.
• Experience handling high-volume invoice processing and supplier payments.
• Interest in building or continuing a career in finance.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of suppliers.
• Verify and ensure expenses claimed by employees comply with policy and have not been previously processed.
• Maintain and update the Housing supplier masterfile with accurate names and addresses.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations to ensure invoices are entered in the system.
