Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team on a full-time, 12-month contract. The role supports hybrid work by agreement and focuses on accurate AP processing, payment runs, and supplier management.

You will collaborate across the finance function, learn end-to-end AP processes, and contribute to continuous improvement while delivering reliable financial outcomes for our not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
• Exposure to invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations and supplier management.
• Willingness to learn and develop broader accounts payable knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with payment runs and accounts payable administration activities.
• Respond to supplier and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor information and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• Support month-end processing activities and reporting requirements.
• Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Payable function.
• Provide general administrative support as required within the team.
