Job summary

Andrews Meat Industries in Lidcombe, Sydney, is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. The role handles invoice matching, payment processing, month-end tasks, and vendor inquiries.

We value accuracy, deadline discipline, and strong communication. The position is full-time, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with staff discounts and onsite support services.

Experience in bookkeeping and using Sage/Esker/Protrace is desirable; join a growing meat industry leader.

Qualifications

• Accounts Payable/Bookkeeping experience.
• Basic spreadsheet knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Check and match invoices with purchase order and delivery docket.
• Scan meat delivery dockets into a shared folder.
• Processing invoices into the system (Sage, Esker, Protrace).
• Ensure vendors’ payments are to date.
• Prepare Automatic and manual payments.
• Assist with month end – e.g. Accruals, ensure all missing invoices have been accounted for as per Statement, etc.
• Resolve invoices issues.
• Updating/maintaining and responding to vendor inquiries.
• Identifying and posting invoices in the correct GL account.
• Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliation.
• Check entries in vendor’s account weekly.
• Posting & allocation of payments.
• Maintaining Company’s motor vehicles spreadsheet – updating Fuel cards, E-Tag, etc. if required.
• Raising Purchase orders and sales invoices if required.

Across these divisions, the company supplies to all areas of the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, clubs, and resort groups, as well as servicing a number of other market segments, including health and aged care, education, aviation, and sporting venues.

An opening exists for an Accounts Payable Officer to join the team at Andrews Meat Industries located in Lidcombe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is leading the way in the meat industry.
