Sharp & Carter Accounting Clerical Brisbane is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established, large organisation. Based in inner Northern suburbs with access to public transport and onsite parking, the role offers flexible hours and permanent employment.

You will report to the Accounts Manager, support the full accounts payable process, and work within a thriving team handling high-volume payables.

• Experience in accounts payable in a large organisation.

• Process and reconcile supplier accounts, ensure timely payments, and apply discounts.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and handle urgent payment requests.
• Manage AP inbox and respond to internal/external queries from suppliers and customers.
• Maintain accurate records, filing and archiving payment documentation.

The Position

An opportunity has become available for an Accounts Payable Officer at a well-established and large organisation. This is a permanent position based in the inner Northern suburbs with access to public transport, parking available onsite and flexible working hours.

As the successful candidate you will report to the Accounts Manager and be responsible for supporting the delivery of the full accounts payable process. You will work as part of a thriving team and be responsible for the high-volume accounts payable process.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for working within a high-volume and fast-paced accounts payable team.

Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

• Process and reconcile supplier accounts, ensuring timely payments, discounts applied, and aged items cleared.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and handle urgent payment requests as needed.
• Manage AP email inbox and respond professionally to internal and external queries from suppliers and customers.
• Maintain accurate records, including filing and archiving payment documentation.

As the suitable candidate you will have a keen interest in accounts and developing your career with this large and reputable business. You will need to demonstrate that you can work in a close-knit intimate team environment.

In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to:

• Demonstrate the ability to build strong professional relationships
• Effective and adaptive communication skills
• Computer literacy in all Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems
