Job summary

JPS Executive Search & Selection seeks an A&D Specification Representative to grow presence across Brisbane's architecture and design market. You’ll build strong relationships with architects and interior designers, influence design choices early, and guide specs to successful sale of premium tile and stone products.

You will inherit an existing portfolio while developing new accounts, introducing European product ranges, and building a robust project pipeline to meet ambitious sales targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development or specification sales within the A&D market.
• Experience across architectural products, building materials or commercial interior finishes.
• Strong relationships within Brisbane's architecture and design community.
• Confidence presenting products and solutions to architects, designers and key project stakeholders.
• A track record of developing accounts, building pipeline and converting opportunities into revenue.
• Strong commercial instincts and a genuine drive to grow your territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with architects, interior designers and key specification decision-makers.
• Drive specifications across a premium range of European tiles, stone and architectural surfaces.
• Get in front of clients through studio visits, product presentations and regular face-to-face meetings.
• Identify new projects and business opportunities across Brisbane's commercial A&D market.
• Provide product advice, samples and alternative solutions tailored to individual project requirements.
• Manage opportunities from initial engagement through specification, construction and final supply.
• Develop an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying opportunities to grow your network.
• Build and maintain a healthy project pipeline while taking ownership of your sales targets.
• Work closely with internal sales support, management and project stakeholders to deliver a premium client experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an established premium tile and architectural surfaces business to grow their presence across Brisbane's architecture and design market.

This role is all about building genuine relationships with architects and interior designers, influencing product selections early in the design process and following specifications through to completed sales.

You'll inherit an existing portfolio of A&D relationships while having the freedom to develop new accounts, introduce premium European product ranges and build a strong pipeline of commercial projects.

ABOUT YOU

You're commercially driven but genuinely relationship focused. You understand that success in the A&D market isn't about the hard sell, it's about becoming someone architects and designers trust and want involved in their projects.

You'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your own territory, have a genuine interest in design and materials, and understand how to turn long-term specification opportunities into commercial results.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Proven experience in business development or specification sales within the A&D market.
• Experience across architectural products, building materials or commercial interior finishes.
• Strong relationships within Brisbane's architecture and design community, or the ability to build them quickly.
• Confidence presenting products and solutions to architects, designers and key project stakeholders.
• A track record of developing accounts, building pipeline and converting opportunities into revenue.
• Strong commercial instincts and a genuine drive to grow your territory.

Experience across tiles, stone, porcelain, timber flooring or commercial flooring would be highly regarded, although broader A&D specification experience is equally valuable.
