Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Network Operations Officer to join its VOC team in Cremorne, VIC. You will monitor, support, and maintain critical communications infrastructure across cellular, optical, satellite, radio, transmission and embedded systems, acting as the first point of contact for operational support.

This role operates on a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays. You will log and track incidents with ITSM tools, perform first‑level troubleshooting, escalate

Qualifications

• Experience in Help Desk, Service Desk, NOC or similar technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Work effectively under pressure.
• Customer-focused with strong relationship-building.
• Independent with minimal supervision and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems and services to identify faults and service disruptions.
• Act as the primary contact for incidents and service requests.
• Log, track, and manage incidents using ITSM tools.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
• Escalate unresolved incidents to specialist technical teams within SLAs.
• Coordinate incidents through to resolution, informing stakeholders.
• Support major incident response and service restoration activities.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining operational excellence.
