Job summary

CDC Data Centres is seeking Service Technicians to support operation of mission-critical data centre infrastructure in a live environment. If you have electrical, HVAC, or industrial background, this role offers transition to operations with structured training.

You will monitor power, cooling, and fire systems, perform inspections, respond to faults, and assist with safety procedures. The role involves a rotating 24/7 shift roster and opportunities to develop within CDC Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, HVAC, or industrial environments.
• Experience in critical/high-availability environments.
• Exposure to monitoring/control systems (BMS/EMS/SCADA).
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and situational awareness.
• Ability to produce clear logs and post-incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms across power, cooling and fire systems.
• Perform physical inspections and ensure equipment operates within parameters.
• Respond to faults, prioritise actions and escalate as needed.
• Carry out operational switching to prevent outages.
• Support maintenance and coordinate with contractors on site.
• Document incidents and maintenance activities for continuous improvement.
