Job summary

CDC Data Centres is Australia’s leading operator of sovereign, secure data centre facilities, with a growing Melbourne team. We welcome candidates from electrical, HVAC, or mechanical backgrounds to join a stable, high‑reliability environment and grow through our CDC Academy training.

You will monitor critical infrastructure, follow procedures, and gain exposure to power, cooling, fire systems, and site monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or other critical infrastructure environments emphasizing safety and reliability.
• Transitioning from trades into data centre operations is supported by training.
• Strong computer literacy for documentation, reports, and site systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alarms across power, cooling, and fire systems.
• Perform physical inspections to verify equipment and infrastructure parameters.
• Respond to faults, prioritise actions, and escalate as needed.
• Carry out operational switching and control activities to prevent outages.
• Support planned maintenance and supervise on-site contractors with safety procedures.
• Document incidents, maintenance activities, and observations for improvements.
