Job summary

CDC Data Centres in Canberra is seeking Service Technicians to support mission-critical infrastructure in live data centre environments. If you have electrical, HVAC, or industrial backgrounds, this role will apply your hands-on skills to power, cooling, fire systems and monitoring.

We welcome candidates from diverse technical backgrounds and provide CDC Academy training. The role offers a rotating 24/7 shift and opportunities to develop within a growing, secure data centre business.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, HVAC, or industrial environments with a focus on reliability and safety.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain high safety standards.
• Strong documentation and log-keeping skills for incidents and maintenance.
• Willingness to learn and transition to operations in a data centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms across power, cooling, and fire systems.
• Conduct physical inspections of equipment and infrastructure.
• Respond to faults, prioritise actions, escalate when needed.
• Perform operational switching and control to prevent outages.
• Support planned maintenance and coordinate with on-site contractors.
• Document incidents and maintenance for continuous improvement.
