Job summary

CDC Data Centres in Melbourne is seeking an Associate Service Technician for a 24/7 shift pattern. The role supports customers, maintenance and monitoring activities to ensure data centre uptime. Training and development opportunities via the CDC Academy are highlighted.

The role emphasises safety, collaboration with service technicians and contractors, and proactive monitoring to maintain service continuity for clients across facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working in technical environments such as telecommunications, fibre, fire systems, trades, IT, industrial facilities, or related fields.
• Confident collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external service providers.
• Ability to identify risks and develop practical, effective solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Office 365 applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and engage with Customers, Service Technicians and contractors undertaking support activities and overseeing maintenance works.
• Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and no disruption to client’s or business operations.
• Utilise electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee and monitor site conditions.
• Respond to customer requests and critical events swiftly.
• Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC’s processes and procedures.
• Provide timely reporting of events, and support restoration to normal operations.
