Job summary

CDC Data Centres in Melbourne is seeking Service Technicians to support operation of mission-critical infrastructure in live data centres. If you’ve worked in electrical, HVAC, or industrial environments, this role will feel familiar and emphasizes safety and defined procedures.

Qualifications

Trade or technical background in Electrical, Refrigeration/HVAC, Mechanical or related field.
Experience working in critical/high-availability environments with strong safety/compliance requirements.
Exposure to monitoring or control systems such as BMS, EMS, or SCADA-type platforms.

Responsibilities

Monitor alarms and alerts across power, cooling, and fire systems.
Perform physical inspections to ensure equipment operates within defined parameters.
Respond to faults/incidents, prioritise actions and determine escalation or contractor support.
Carry out operational switching and control activities to prevent unplanned outages.
Support planned maintenance and monitor contractors on site with strict safety procedures.
Document incidents, maintenance activities, and observations for continuous improvement.
