Job summary

GoStudent GmbH is seeking a People Operations Manager DACH to own HR operations for Austria and Germany across multiple entities. You will manage contracts, payroll inputs, and policies, while driving automation and improvements in a tech-first scale-up.

You will partner with the Head of People Operations and P&O colleagues across markets to ensure compliance, support hiring, and enhance the employee experience through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of HR operations experience in Austria with employee relations and Works Council experience.
• Experience with Germany is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of Austrian labour law and KV; German labour law familiarity.
• Hands-on payroll preparation experience in Austria; familiarity with Personalverrechnung is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the trusted voice on employee relations and labor-law compliance in Austria and Germany across multiple entities.
• Be the first stop for P&O questions from employees and managers.
• Coach managers on P&O policies and procedures to simplify decision making.
• Localize group P&O policies and partner with Works Council.
• Act as DACH point of contact for internal and external audits.
• Own the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, leave, and offboarding.
