Job summary

ZEISS in Graz, Austria, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the ATSEE region across the employee lifecycle. You will partner with managers and staff, drive HR initiatives, and ensure compliant operations to enable business success.

The role requires 2–3 years in HR, strong Austrian labour-law knowledge, and fluency in German and English. JD includes payroll support and international exposure within IQS.

Your Role

As a Human Resources Generalist (m/f/x) , you will support the entire employee lifecycle, acting as a trusted HR partner for managers and employees across the ATSEE region. You will drive HR initiatives, ensure compliant HR operations, and contribute to organisational development and business success.

Responsibilities

Your Experience

• Completed education or university degree with a focus on Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Austrian labour law and HR administration processes.
• Basic understanding of payroll processes and experience working with HR systems and MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in German and English.
• Experience with Workday, BMD, or other HR/ERP systems.
• Experience supporting organisational change or HR projects.
• Additional language skills and experience working in an international environment.

For this position, the starting annual gross salary is €48,000 . The actual salary offered will depend on qualifications and relevant professional experience.
