Job summary

MR MARVIS is seeking a proactive Assistant Store Manager for our Vienna store to support the Store Manager with daily operations, team leadership, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will help manage stock, scheduling, training, complaints, and premium store presentation while maintaining high brand standards.

You will lead the sales floor, drive store performance, and help execute local events and campaigns, reporting to the Store Manager in a fast-paced fashion retail

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with commercial drive and teamwork.
• Ability to lead a team positively and align them with targets.
• Strong communication and professional, approachable manner.
• Hands-on mentality and excellent organisation.
• Affinity with fashion, retail and customer experience.
• Flexible and solution-oriented with attention to detail.
• Very good German and good English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and onboard new hires and conduct daily on-the-floor training.
• Handle tough customer complaints with fair, independent solutions to protect CX.
• Partner on staff scheduling to optimise shifts and productivity.
• Lead by example on the sales floor to keep the team motivated and aligned with targets.
• Boost store performance by focusing on key retail metrics and commercial targets.
• Oversee inventory and admin, keeping stock organized and paperwork up to date.
• Uphold premium store presentation and bring local brand events and campaigns to life.

Job description

As Assistant Store Manager, you're the Store Manager’s right hand. You're a motivating force within the team, help maintain the store’s presentation, and work alongside the Store Manager to achieve commercial goals. You're partially responsible for daily operations, stock management, and leading the team on the shop floor.

You actively help improve the customer experience and assist in organising events in-store. When the Store Manager is absent, you step in and take over their tasks as much as possible.

What’s on your typical to-do list:

Act as the Store Manager’s strategic partner and fully deputise in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity in store operations, team morale, and financial performance.

Take charge of the cash office, seamlessly handling the safe, daily financial settlements, and backend cash management.

Welcome and onboard new hires, helping them understand the bigger picture of the brand while leading daily on-the-floor training sessions.

Handle tough customer complaints confidently, finding fair, independent solutions that protect the customer experience.

Partner on staff scheduling, working alongside the Store Manager to build smart shifts that optimize team productivity.

Lead by example on the sales floor, keeping the team motivated, aligned, and inspired throughout the day.

Boost overall store performance, focusing on key retail metrics and helping the team smash their commercial targets.

Oversee inventory and admin, keeping store stock organized and staying on top of necessary retail paperwork.

Uphold premium store presentation, ensuring visual guidelines are met and helping bring local brand events and campaigns to life.

Who you are

At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a retail environment;

The collective‑agreement minimum salary for this position is €2,535 gross per month (KV Handel Angestellte, employment group E, full-time 38.5 hours/week, paid 14 times per year). Depending on experience and qualifications, we are actually paying above this minimum (Bereitschaft zur Überzahlung).
