Then join our team. Let’s create the future of retail. Together.
Kick-start your career at Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG, part of the Peek & Cloppenburg* group with headquarters in Düsseldorf and Vienna. Fashion ID serves as the central competence center of the group for cross-company services. In addition, it operates the online shops of the Peek & Cloppenburg* group and manages all related online activities.
*In Germany there are two independent companies Peek & Cloppenburg with their headquarters in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. This advertisement refers to the Düsseldorf-based group of companies, whose locations you can find here: peek-cloppenburg.de/de/stores.
You will own the strategic and conceptual responsibility for Visual Merchandising across womenswear, handbags, and accessories for all markets in Germany, Austria, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). You seamlessly blend fashion, trend awareness, and brand experience with a strong commercial mindset, translating collection strategies into inspiring, sales-driving retail environments.
You develop and scale VM strategies, standards, and guidelines for basic and seasonal items, defining presentation principles tailored to various store formats. You translate fashion trends, marketing campaigns, and core product strategies into impactful floor displays. In doing so, you plan targeted visual activations for peak trading periods and promotions to continuously drive conversion rates, customer focus, and floor productivity.
You work closely with buying teams in Düsseldorf and Vienna and act as the key contact for store design and planning during new openings, refurbishments, and space adjustments. You coordinate regularly with international hubs (including Zug) and conduct quality assurance visits across stores. Furthermore, you provide expert guidance to local teams, deliver training and workshops, and actively share best practices across all markets.
You monitor global retail trends, competitor display concepts, and customer experience innovations. You evaluate the performance of your VM initiatives using relevant retail KPIs in line with a "test & learn" mindset, and you identify new digital and AI-powered tools to continuously boost efficiency in VM workflows.
You bring a proven, multi-year track record in Visual Merchandising and Styling, ideally within international fashion retail. You possess deep product and trend knowledge in womenswear; extensive experience in accessories and handbags is a clear advantage for this role.
You are proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel) as well as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Experience with 3D/visualization software (e.g., MockShop, IWD Retail, SketchUp) and an open mindset toward AI-driven tools are strong pluses. Business fluency in both German and English is essential for your daily work.
You combine an exceptional eye for aesthetics and fashion trends with strong analytical and commercial thinking. As a convincing and communicative leader, you bring a willingness to travel (approx. 20-30% across DE, AT, and CEE), work independently, and thrive in intercultural, cross-border network environments.
You will actively shape the visual identity of core categories for a leading fashion retailer, taking end-to-end responsibility from initial vision to store execution.
A dynamic, cross-border environment with a highly collaborative network culture that fosters initiative, fresh ideas, and continuous professional growth.
A hybrid working model (at least 3 days in the office) combined with regular market exposure on-site.
For the position of Visual Merchandising Manager (m/f/d), we offer a monthly gross salary above the collective agreement starting at EUR 4,300 (framework collective agreement for employees in Information and Consulting); overpayment is possible depending on your specific qualifications and experience.
