Job summary

Our client is a performance marketing agency focusing on higher education and nonprofit sectors. As Technical SEO Lead, you’ll be the technical SEO expert across a portfolio of partner accounts, improving visibility in traditional search, answer engines, and AI search.

The role blends hands-on technical audits with building Claude-based tools and workflows to reduce manual work, while writing dev-ready specs and guiding client teams to successful fixes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 in technical SEO, preferably at an agency or across multiple sites.
• Proven track record of identifying high-impact issues and delivering fixes.
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/Semrush.
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes.
• Advanced, hands-on experience with Claude, including building agents and AI-assisted workflows.
• Clear written communication and ability to write developer specs and client-facing recommendations.
• Comfort managing outcomes across many accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts and improve visibility in search and AI search.
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and redirects.
• Prioritize issues by impact and defend those decisions.
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then monitor fixes.
• Build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, QA, and reporting.
• Design systems that scale the SEO service across accounts.
• Document systems and train the team, measuring time saved and results.
• Support client success and act as the go-to technical resource.
