Job summary

Our client is a performance marketing agency specializing in higher education and nonprofit sectors. As Technical SEO Lead, you'll be the technical SEO expert across a portfolio of partner accounts, improving visibility in traditional search, answer engines, and AI-driven search.

You will write developer-ready specs, guide WordPress tweaks, monitor Search Console and GA4, and build Claude-based tools and workflows to scale the service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with emphasis on technical SEO across multiple sites.
• Strong WordPress knowledge including themes, plugins, redirects and schema.
• Hands-on Claude AI experience building agents and AI-assisted workflows.
• Clear written communication capable of specs and client-facing explanations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts.
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links.
• Prioritize issues by impact and defend calls.
• Write dev-ready specs and see fixes released and verified.
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema via Yoast/Rank Math.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems.
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) and data structures that AI can parse.
• Build systems that scale the SEO service and Claude-based tools for audits, reporting, and QA.
• Translate standards into reusable systems and train the team.
