Job summary

Our client is a performance marketing agency specializing in higher education and nonprofit sectors. The Technical SEO Lead will own technical audits, write dev-ready specs, and build Claude-based tools to automate audits and reporting, while supporting the SEO team and clients.

The role emphasizes scaling SEO services through reusable systems, with fully remote work and compensation based on experience. You will interact with WordPress implementations and AI-driven search readiness.

Qualifications

5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
Proven track record uncovering high-impact issues and prioritizing fixes
Hands-on experience with Google Search Console and GA4
Strong knowledge of WordPress: themes, plugins, redirects, and schema
Advanced hands-on experience with Claude and AI-assisted workflows

Responsibilities

Lead technical SEO across client accounts
Run technical audits: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, broken links
Write dev-ready specs and follow through to fixes
Handle light WordPress implementations: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema via Yoast/Rank Math
Monitor Search Console and GA4 for drops, errors, indexing problems
Design Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, QA
Build systems to scale the SEO service and content production workflows
Join client calls for deep technical topic explanations
Evaluate emerging search technologies and recommend tools and processes
