Walmart is seeking a Merchant to develop and execute category strategies that align with long-term objectives. You will oversee financial management, supplier negotiations, and channel strategies to optimize profitability and customer experience across platforms.

You will lead a team to deliver excellence, leverage data insights, and collaborate cross-functionally on assortment, pricing, and promotions while ensuring policy compliance and building a high-performing team.

Formación

• Proven experience in category and channel strategy development for moderately complex categories.
• Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Manage profit and loss, pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions to meet financial targets.
• Lead supplier negotiations and oversee supplier performance and communication.
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
• Drive channel strategy and collaborate with supply chain to optimize product availability.
• Manage team performance, development, and daily priorities to achieve business goals.
• Support assortment planning, modular layouts, and product lifecycle management.
• Utilize data analysis to generate insights and influence strategic initiatives.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field

5 years’ merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
