Referment seeks an infrastructure and operations engineer to maintain local IT infrastructure, networks, servers and cloud-based services in Buenos Aires. You will support internal users and coordinate with regional specialists on incidents and standards.

The role covers patching, backups, security controls, incident handling and documentation, with involvement in projects and operational ownership.

Formación

• Experience in corporate IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux, networks, connectivity and incident troubleshooting.
• Exposure to cloud-based corporate services, monitoring and ticketing tools.
• Basic automation, scripting or DevOps knowledge and an understanding of infrastructure security practices.
• Advanced study or a degree in systems, IT, engineering, telecommunications or a related field.

Responsabilidades

Referment is working with a global financial-services business seeking an infrastructure and operations engineer to keep its local technology environment available, stable and well supported.

This is a hands-on role spanning workplace technology, networks, servers, connectivity and cloud-based corporate services. You will also provide first- and second-line support to internal users while coordinating with regional and global specialists on incidents, standards and technology initiatives.

The Role

• Operate and maintain local infrastructure, monitoring systems, networks and services for performance and availability.
• Handle maintenance, patching, backups and security controls in line with corporate standards.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across hardware, software, operating systems and productivity tools.
• Prepare and configure equipment for new starters, replacements and upgrades.
• Manage incidents and requests, escalating complex issues and following them through to resolution.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and maintain clear technical documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting and administering corporate IT infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux, networks, connectivity and incident troubleshooting.
• Exposure to cloud-based corporate services, monitoring and ticketing tools.
• Basic automation, scripting or DevOps knowledge and an understanding of infrastructure security practices.
• Advanced study or a degree in systems, IT, engineering, telecommunications or a related field.

Microsoft 365 administration and English at B1 level or above would be useful. This could suit an infrastructure support engineer who enjoys combining operational ownership with direct user support.
