AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to elevate quality across the software development lifecycle by embedding testing from the start rather than as a gate at release.

You will design and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, champion a right-sized test pyramid, and leverage AI-powered tools for test generation and coverage optimization.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or automation roles.
• Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, Postman).
• Ability to read, write, or debug test code or scripts (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#).
• Understanding of REST APIs and service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous-testing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools and practices.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Architects to embed quality at every stage.
• Define and execute a product quality strategy aligned with priorities and release objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers.
• Champion a right-sized test pyramid to balance unit, service, integration, and UI tests.
• Collaborate to understand code changes, coverage, and architecture for value in tests.
• Build scalable automation frameworks that fit CI/CD pipelines.
• Promote shift-left quality through backlog refinement and design discussions.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for test generation, defect analysis, and coverage optimization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort via intelligent automation.
• Investigate defects with engineering teams and drive preventative improvements.
