AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across the SDLC, partnering with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Architects. You will design and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, promoting a right-sized test pyramid and AI-assisted testing tools.

The role requires 4+ years in quality engineering, hands-on automation with modern tools, and strong REST API expertise.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or automation roles.
• Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, or Postman.
• Understanding of REST APIs and service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous-testing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools and practices.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Architects to understand product functionality and acceptance criteria, ensuring quality at every SDLC stage.
• Define and execute a product quality strategy aligned with business priorities and release objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers.
• Champion a right-sized test pyramid by balancing unit, service, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess code changes, coverage, and architecture to maximize automated testing value.
• Build scalable automation frameworks that integrate into CI/CD for continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Promote shift-left quality practices through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and code reviews.
