Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, building robust automation and performing manual and exploratory testing across multiple platforms.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and acceptance criteria. Experience with AI QA tools is a plus, and remote collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual/exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android.
• Experience with AI tools in QA; evaluating AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
