Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own and advance automated and manual testing across desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and drive reliability through analysis and proactive test design.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to improve testability, coverage, and acceptance criteria, including AI-based QA tools where appropriate. This role supports a globally distributed team with remote work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
