Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while also performing manual testing. You will build and maintain test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and help ensure fast, reliable test cycles.

You will collaborate with developers and product teams, executing functional, exploratory, and regression testing, and deciding manual versus automated coverage based on risk. AI QA tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on manual testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
