Job summary

Tether is seeking anAutomation QA Engineer to drive both automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will own test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and quality across platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, validating features, and ensuring reliability on real devices. Remote work and global collaboration are central to the team’s approach, with a focus on AI-assisted QA workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
