Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation and ensure quality across our products. You will build and maintain automated suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on manual testing, and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and AI-assisted QA tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web; WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
