Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation across our global platforms. You will work closely with developers, product, and design to ensure robust quality throughout the SDLC, balancing automated and manual testing based on risk.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in QA automation, strong Playwright/WebdriverIO experience, and familiarity with AI-assisted testing; remote and international collaboration is supported.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus manual & exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
