Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile quality across our fintech platforms. You will build and maintain test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testability and acceptance criteria.

This role emphasizes hands-on testing, exploratory work, and the use of Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and AI-assisted QA tools on real devices (iOS/Android) to ensure robust releases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
