Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills and hands-on manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. The role emphasizes building robust regression suites, integrating tests into CI/CD, and working with developers, product teams, and customers to ensure quality across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in QA automation, experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium, and comfort testing Electron/React Native apps on real devices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on manual/testing experience.
• Experience writing and executing automated tests for desktop/mobile apps using modern frameworks.
• Familiar with Gherkin for behavior-driven development and AI-assisted QA tools.
• Comfort with CI/CD environments and test data management.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts supporting app functionality.
• Perform manual testing for validation against criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other tests.
• Document feature behavior and test results.
• Record pass/fail criteria and link to bugs.
• Identify risks to product quality and collaborate on mitigations.
• Work with product to ensure quality across SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback.
• Participate in effort estimation and planning.
• Maintain automation repos in GitHub and run custom scripts.
