AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for a product-led engineering team. This role uses Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS.

We value comfort with compliance, cost-savings, and observability work. You will tackle engineering maintenance while contributing to system architecture and high-performance distributed systems on AWS. Remote-friendly and growth-oriented culture.

Formación

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems on AWS.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work such as compliance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling maintenance.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and design, validating solutions with data and experiments.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Partner with a Product Manager to clarify requirements and perform mid-level design.
