AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems using Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Aurora MySQL on AWS. You’ll work on operational tooling and system architecture within a Product-led engineering team.

Responsibilities include designing and improving distributed cloud-native systems, participating in design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality software.

Formación

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in a modern NoSQL database, MongoDB on Atlas.
• Proficiency in a modern relational database, Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work for the team, including compliance and maintenance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and validate solutions with data and experiments.
• Participate in code and design reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Partner with Product Manager and engineers to clarify requirements and perform mid-level design work, focusing on coding and testing.
