Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role within Argentina. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to enable data teams to ship high-quality data products safely.

You'll design and operate data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, focusing on operability, security, and developer experience.

Competenze

5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability with data engineering exposure.
Deep AWS skills across S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager.
Proficient with IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
Ability to design observability systems including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerts.

Mansioni

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL and related data infra.
Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure with IaC tools (Terraform / CDK).
Own observability stack: metrics, logs, and alerts to meet SLA and fast incident response.
Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
Manage container and compute infra for data ingestion microservices and workers.
Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
Drive security best practices: secrets management, least privilege, network segmentation.
Mentor engineers, perform design reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions.
