Proofpoint seeks a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Cordoba, Argentina. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities using AWS-first infrastructure.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and the observability stack, while collaborating with data engineers, scientists, and security teams to scale production-grade data products and ensure secure operations.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CDK/CFN.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to design observability for data/platform: metrics, logs, tracing, alerts.
• Good communication to translate ops concerns into engineering trade-offs.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra deployments.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines and platform services.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates for Data Eng teams.
• Manage container/computation infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades.
• Develop AWS Glue ETL jobs and Spark-based transformations for large data loads.
• Enforce security best practices: IAM, Secrets Manager, least privilege, network controls.
• Collaborate across data engineers, data scientists, and security.
• Lead on-call incident response and drive post-mortems and improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
