Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role based in Córdoba, Argentina. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD tooling to empower data engineers.

You’ll design and operate data workflows with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, while reinforcing security, observability, and scalable architectures.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps or data engineering roles.
• Strong AWS services knowledge with hands-on data infra.
• Experience automating data pipelines and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication across tech and non-tech teams.

Mansioni

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure with IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts, and incident response.
• Create self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA / Airflow) and upgrades.
• Develop Glue ETL jobs and data transformations on S3 lake.
• Drive security practices across data platform: IAM, Secrets, network.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
