Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina, is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, owning reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to help data teams ship high-quality data products faster while ensuring security and observability.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design and operate observability systems (metrics, logs, distributed tracing, alerting).
• Excellent communication skills to translate operational concerns for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling, templates, and libraries for production-grade pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda) to support data ingestion microservices.
• Design and operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA / Airflow, Step Functions) with upgrades and reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation on S3.
