Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid capacity. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics, build cloud infra on AWS, and implement CI/CD for Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.

You will also design and operate workflow orchestration (Airflow/MWAA) and ensure strong security and governance across data platforms. Collaboration with data engineers and security teams is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on with data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform and/or CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalents.
• Container orchestration with ECS/EKS/Kubernetes.
• Observability: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting for data/platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance and quick incident response.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates for production pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews for data platform projects.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and drive post-mortems.
