Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, owning reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for data engineers. You will design data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, bringing an operational mindset to data

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform/SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services and data services (Glue, Athena, S3).
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience and container orchestration.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and templates for production pipelines.
• Manage container infrastructure for data ingestion microservices.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow).
• Build AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for data lake on S3.
• Drive security best practices across the data platform.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering.
