Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. This position owns the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on AWS, building CI/CD pipelines and data infra.

You’ll work across Glue, Athena, S3, and orchestration tooling, advocate for security and observability, mentor peers, and collaborate with data scientists and security teams to ship high-quality data products.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on with Glue ETL, Athena, and S3 data lake management.
• IaC experience: Terraform and/or CDK for production clouds.
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Containerization: Docker; orchestration with ECS/EKS/Kubernetes.
• Observability and security focus across data platforms.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate ops trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability for data pipelines with metrics, logs and alerts.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable templates.
• Manage container infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data services.
• Lead incident response and perform post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural reviews.
