Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role in Cordoba, Argentina. You will own the reliability and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building AWS-first cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling to enable data engineers.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services including S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design and operate observability systems for data and platform services.
• Excellent communication to translate operational concerns to stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infra.
• Build AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates for production pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra supporting data ingestion services.
• Operate MWAA/Airflow and Step Functions for workflows and upgrades.
• Build Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion on S3.
• Drive security practices across the data platform (IAM, Secrets, network).
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists and security teams; mentor juniors.
