Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role based in Córdoba, Argentina. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for data engineers.

Role combines platform engineering with data infrastructure, focusing on AWS-first environments, data pipelines using Glue, Athena, and S3, and maintaining a strong operational

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE.
• Deep AWS core services experience and data services.
• Strong CI/CD and IaC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure (S3, Glue, Athena) with IaC.
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, alerts.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS).
• Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data Eng practices.
