Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of the systems powering data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability, and data ingestion infrastructure, collaborating with data scientists and security teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years data engineering.
Deep experience with AWS core services and data services.
Strong IaC experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ETL and data infra.
Own observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts.
Develop DataOps tooling and self-service pipelines.
Manage container and compute infra for data ingestion services.
Lead incident response and post-mortems.
