Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Argentina. Hybrid role focused on reliability, automation, and data infrastructure for ETL pipelines and analytics.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, manage AWS resources, and own observability and security for data workloads. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps/platform/SRE with strong AWS and IaC skills, plus experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and data engineering practices.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with hands-on data engineering.
Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
Experience with container tech (Docker, ECS/EKS) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Design and operate observability systems (metrics, logging, alerting) for data/platform services.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of data infrastructure.
Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC for S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, VPCs, and related services.
Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
Develop and maintain DataOps tooling and reusable templates for production pipelines.
Mentor engineers and conduct reviews, contributing to architecture decisions.
Lead incident response for data platform outages and post-mortems.
