Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. Hybrid role at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure; you will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and analytics workloads.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability for data pipelines: metrics, logs, alerts, and incident response.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates for engineers.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow/Step Functions).
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams to scale solutions.
